The Therapy Voucher Program connects individuals impacted by the criminal legal system and their loved ones with radicalized, non-carceral mental health practitioners (MHPs) who are trauma-informed, anti-racist, and committed to abolitionist principles and collective liberation. This program is designed to expand access to high-quality mental health care for communities that are often underserved, under-resourced, and navigating stigma around seeking support.

Each practitioner in our network has been carefully vetted through trusted referrals, thorough questionnaires, and interviews ensuring that participants are matched with therapists who can provide incarceration-responsive care and support the unique experiences of reintegration.

Participants can access individual or couples therapy with practitioners who understand the systemic and personal impacts of incarceration, fostering healing, resilience, and well-being. By connecting participants with skilled, values-aligned therapists, the Therapy Voucher Program strengthens access to care that honors dignity, agency, and community-centered healing and care.
